James Scott Born at Sea Will, Probate and Sale of Personal Estate

James Scott passed away in 1828 and ordered his entire personal estate to be sold at auction upon the death of his wife, Mollie.  She died in 1937 and their son, Matthew, carried out the wishes . All is well documented in the courts books of Monroe County, West Virginia.

In August of 1828 Matthew Scott Sells off some personal items of James including a bunch of brandy.

In 1837,  after the death of  Mollie,  Matthew sells off the personal property of James.

True to his word,  Matthew sells off 2/3 of the estate to the Perry brothers, Addison and John, who may have been leasing the land before hand.  Matthew purchases a tract as well.

Everybody in the will gets some money for the sale of personal items

The land sells for $2560.00 dollars,  and everyone listed in the will gets their share.  Matthew takes his, presumably the 1/3 left to Margaret,  as a share of land.
